Favre’s first pass was a bit off target, which was intended for fullback Naufahu Tahi. He was then off-the-mark twice more on the next possession. It may take a while for the Vikings to get into the swing of things with the new guy. Although Peterson claimed it wouldn’t take long.

Tarvaris Jackson reportedly hit Darius Reynaud on a post pattern for a 64-yard touchdown in the third. That put Minnesota in front of the Kansas City Chiefs 14-13. Jackson had to replace Favre, after he received a jarring hit from Chiefs linebacker Corey Mays, which drove him to the turf.
