After a long last day at the Oval, England has finally won the Ashes. Australia tried to put up a fight, but England destroyed them. England knew that they had to come down hard on the tourists, and according to The Daily Mail, England ripped through the Aussies, they were all out 348.
England won by 197 runs and took a 2-1 series win, and has reclaimed the urn from Australia after they took it from them on 2006/7. England skipper, Andrew Strauss said that it was hard work saying “These things never come easy. It’s been hard work by the XI on the field and the backroom staff as well.”

According to The Guardian, Ricky Ponting, Australia’s captain has been struggling to come to terms with losing the Ashes twice in two years. He said, “We’re all disappointed, obviously, and I guess for me as the captain of the side it’s even more disappointing.”
