Rubens Barrichello had not won an F1 race in five years, but that all changed at Sundays European Grand Prix in Valencia, Spain. Rubens Barrichello had been running in second and was catching Lewis Hamilton, but he still did not have enough time to catch him by the final pit stops.
Lewis came into his pit box, the crew had his car up in the air and the fuel hose was on but there were no tires ready for him. Those in charge of supplying Hamliton with a new set of tires finally put them on his McLaren but by then were down by about 5 seconds, I knew then that Barrichello would win the race after he came in for his final pit stop.

I was a little sad for Hamilton; he had worked hard to stay in front, only to have the pit make an error. After the race, Lewis did not put the blame on his team, he said, “We win together, we lose together.” I think that that is a great way to look and it and shows that he has matured as a driver.
He is right of course, when the pit crew and mechanics work hard to give Lewis a great car to win, only for him to outbreak himself and wreck his race, the team does not get angry, they are a team and what Lewis said sums it up.
It is great to see McLaren now back where they belong, at the front end of the field. Do not get me wrong, Rubens Barrichello deserved to win; he has had a winning drought so nice to see him in a winning car. It was also nice to see that the Brawn team is also back at the front, although I am a McLaren fan, there is no chance of them taking the drivers or constructors title, so would be nice for Brawn and Jenson Button to take both titles.
