Miss Universe 2009: Was Stefania Fernandez your favorite?

We reported this morning that yesterday was the 58th Miss Universe contest, and it was Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez that was crowned the winner. We have to wonder if Fernandez deserved to win, was she your favorite?

The odds were on Miss Australia Rachael Finch to win, so came as a big surprise and upset many people when she did not take the crown. The other shock is the fact that this is the second time in a row that a Miss Venezuela one the title, last year’s winner was Dayana Mendoza.

Miss Puerto Rico came fourth, Miss Australia was third and Miss Dominican Republic came second. The top 15 women were all beautiful, but some of those chosen were certainly questionable, we will let you work out who we mean.

    Miss Venezuela was a total beauty. Very elegant and great looking. She totally deserved the crown.

    always since day one my favorites were venezuela dominican republic and honduras
    i always knew that if venezuela reach the top 5 she was going to win the crown because of her preparation (did you notice her when she made the tranlator do his job line by line???) she was so smart she knew he always HELP Puerto Rico and makes alterated translations for Colombia and Venezuela, but not this time. and there’s another thing if you followed the preliminary shows you’d know that the top 15 girl they called wasn’t meant to be there all of the european girls and the egypt one but kosovo she honestly deserved her placement. it was political the way i see it but once again the best girl they call won and that is Stefania Fernandez(Venezuela) Ada was great but Venezuela did better if you reply saying domenican republic scores were better than venezuela you might be right but the top 5 is decided by who answer better: VENEZUELA. the girl who desered to be call were Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Russia, Ireland, Phillipines and Vietman. this is just my humble opinion…

    nxt ms universe the contestants must have natural beauties no plastic surgeries…they should speak english,,if other countries can..hope the latinas also..they are pretty ,,a lot of pretty grls in the world..few are brainy

    Miss Venezula was AMAZINGLY Beautiful.
    But she wins almost every year. it wouldnt matter to be who won, all the girls were bautiful women. thats my opinion.
    BUT
    Miss venezuala does win almost eyer year.
    Not saying she shouldnt of won. She was one of my favourties.

    So many pretty girls and they choose the big mouth? And the votes on internet? What happened with them? Why to vote if they ignored? No way! Better forget it!

    Don’t take anything away from Venezuela; she is beautiful. But I favored Australia and Dominican Republic. Australia was so fresh and natural looking. I was so surprisedby her final placement.

    I really thought Miss Dominican Republic was going to win with Miss Puerto Rico or Miss Australia following. Was surprised that Miss Venezuela won. I’m female and five guys were watching with me and none of us had her in our top five. Oh well, wish her all the best.
