Another great fight at last night’s UFC 102 event, that took place at the Rose Garden in Portland, was the match between Brandon Vera and Krzysztof Soszynski. And according to sherdog.com, Brandon Vera gave a great performance and won the fight.
In the first round, Soszynski came out throwing plenty of leather and managed to clip Vera with a right hand. But Vera seemed to just shake it off and delivered a body kick to the liver that managed to back up Soszynski.
Both fighters really seemed to be going for it and Vera landed a standing-left elbow to Soszynski, just as the bell went. The fight had to be stopped briefly in round 2, after a clas of heads managed to knock Vera’s mouthguard to the floor.
But it was quickly replaced and the fight continued. Vera then managed to get an uppercut to the Canadian’s chin. The bout ended in round three, with the official scores at 30-27 across the board for Vera, making him the winner.
