The UFC 102 event took place last night, and it was the battle between Randy Couture and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, that many MMA fans were waiting for. Both UFC legends battled it out for three rounds and certainly traded some heavy leather throughout.
But according to fighthype.com, even though Randy Couture was the betting favorite, it was Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira that took fight victory at the Rose Garden event. Although Couture did manage to get some good jabs in on the first round.
Nogueira attempted a guillotine choke on Couture in the second round, but Couture managed to escape. At one stage, it looked as though the fight was over, with an arm triangle attempt from Nogueira, but yet again Randy managed to escape.
The third round saw Couture come out quite fast again and land some good shots, but Nogueira was quick to get some in of his own. The official scorecards at the end were 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28, which were all in favor of the winner Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
