Floyd Mayweather Jr. brings HBO’s 24/7 series to life

The HBO reality TV series 24/7 premiered last night and this time it is titled “Mayweather-Marquez 24/7.” The show follows boxers Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez, as they prepare themselves for their big showdown on September 19th.

And according to newsday.com, no one seems to bring the show to life like Floyd Mayweather Jr. does. When speaking about his previous opponents, Mayweather Jr. said “All 39 had a game plan. All 39 came up short.” Floyd’s father was also on the show.

There was also a training scene in the show, which showed Floyd moving his legs in a bicycle motion, whilst doing some pull-ups. That is apparently very difficult to do, but he made it look easy, but we mustn’t forget, Floyd is an extremely conditioned athlete.

Did you watch episode 1 of “Mayweather-Marquez 24/7?”

MAYWEATHER IS PURE GREATNESS SEPT 19 MUST SEE

  • http://yahoo.com Mark

I did watch it. I’m looking for the fight, the whole card in general.

  • http://maxboxing.com Gee

I did watch the show and I believe this is a great matchup. One for the history books. Mayweather has a hungry man in front of him. A very dangerous fighter. Floyd has alot of distractions in front of him on top of being out for 2 years. I feel that PBF is in for a serious fight. One i feel he will win big in. He is p4p and the world knows it. The last man standing from his era, and hes still undefeated. If he beats Marquez he will have definatly defeated the hardest fighter at welterweight. Cotto is a shot fighter, waaay to slow and heavy footed for P4P king PBF. Pac Man is very overrated in my book. Against the cream of the crop he got his ass either whipped or wore out close to defeat. He has also been KO’ed before. An easy victory for PBF. Paul williams, also is an easy fight for PBF at welterweight. Paul showed that for a fast quick boxer hes no match at welterweight judging by his perfomance against Carlos Quintana. If he were fighting PBF that night he would have been ko’ed easy. Shane is on the downside now, nothing like he was, PBF would embarres Moesly in a 12 round fight. Berto i feel would be dangerous only for the first half of the fight, PBF would out box him too, check hook ko style round 10.

floyd mayweather cherry picked the wrong guy, he showed how vulnerable he can be with a good jab when he fought delahoya, and that was when floyd was a active fighter. Everybody thinks floyd is gonna be the same floyd that knocked out ricky hatton nearly two years ago. On top of that he has alot to prove, tix are not selling that great, guns found in his possesion, a sopposed injury. A two year layoff is a two year layoff no mattrr who u are. This is juan manuel marquez people, he has fought better fighters and won. jmm has great timing just ask overated pacman. Juan manuel marquez, will win and knockout fraud needs money mayweather.

  • bnoles4life

If you think that PBF can KO Paul Williams, there’s some beachfront property in Montana, that I can let go real cheap.

I’m a serious PBF fan, but he can’t see Paul in that fashion.

  • emcee

I really don’t understand how Mayweather can claim that he had nothing else to prove when he supposedly retired last year. There were other fighters at around his weight class to fight. Especially fighters that were also in consideration for the best pound-for-pound designation. To name a few: Pacquiao, Mosley, Cotto, Bradley. Was he just scared to fight these guys? No doubt he is undefeated. But I don’t think he has truly fought the best. I have more respect for Pacquiao, Mosley, and Dela Hoya because they have fought the best fighters, win or lose.

  • TeeDraper

    Frankie,

Please shut up already & stop smoking crack you little goya bean.

What you goyas don’t realize is Floyd has the talent of Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, etc etc, yet he trains like he hasn’t made one dollar……a combination like that you cannot beat. So keep dreaming and wishing JMM will beat PBF when the facts say PBF will KAYO JMM w/ no problem. BTW, JMM hasn’t faced ANYONE better than PBF.

  • D35TR00

PBF is a little man who lives in his own big head. He really should step out from time to time to address reality. PBF is suffering from RJJ syndrome. PBF needs to NOW start fighting the tough guys out there instead of waiting like RJJ did only to get stopped.

  • The Chosen One

For the most part, I think people have this fight pegged particularly wrong. JMM is an exceptional boxer, not just a slugger. With his head movement, coupled by the footwork he has showed throughout his entire career, I truly believe “Pretty Broke” Floyd Mayweather Jr. has just bitten off more than he can chew.

With that being said, I do find it hilarious that these morons like Floyd listen to a few rap albums, then the next thing you know they are on the news with guns being confiscated from their home. Bravo Floyd, way to to be a glorified negro. Too bad he didnt shoot his self in the leg like Plaxico Burress, that way he would at least have to sit behind bars for his ignorance.

All in all, I think this will be a one sided fight. I am going with JMM by TKO in the 10th.

  • julian

I honestly believe that even though JMM is 36, he is soooo long in the tooth that he can connect mayweather with the jab and disrupt PBF’s rythum. I see PBF losing on points. JMM will connect on more jabs and set up body shots that will slow PBF. dont get me wrong, PBF is a hell of an athlete, but he’s untested. He lost to Jose Luis Castillo on their first fight and adjusted well on the second fight. Kudos to PBF for that. But JMM is a different animal. He is smart and finds ways to adjust to any fighter in front of him during the fight. Look for pbf to take the early rounds and JMM adjusting and taking six or seven rounds for a split decision. But in reality…the judges will steal the fight from JMM and set up a blockbuster fight between PBF and pacman. c’mon people, this is boxing! It’s all about the money!

  • Tae

JMM does make good adjustments on the fly, but so does Floyd. My main concern is how rusty will he be and how fast can he shake it off. Lets not forget how Leonard beat Hagler after a 5 year layoff. And even if you think Leonard lost the fight, it hasnt been a 5 year layoff for Floyd and Marquez aint Hagler.

I watched the show, it’s done a good job of building up the fight for me. However, I’m not sold it’s going to be a very exciting fight. Essentially both fighters are counter punchers, styles make fights and I just hope we don’t end up with a bore fest of two men in a ring waiting for the other guy to try and hit them. If this happens I can see myself changing station and watching the comedy night on the comedy channel…or maybe even the UFC.

I hope Floyd’s not lost a step and is still the same man who knocked out Hatton. Personally I feel any sort of victories against Ricky Hatton should be void, he is not a great boxer. The ‘After Dinner Speakers’ career has always been the one for him I feel and i plead with him to not return to boxing. Anyhow I digress, I understand the purpose of 24/7 is to get you to book a show, and I probably will relucantly part with my money to watch the fight, I just don’t want to be let down. Any news on the under card? And I must say PBF looks in incredible shape for the fight!

Wow tee draper, goya bean. Go ahead and start the racist name calling, its kool. Let me correct myself, jmm has fought better opposion then fmj. Dont even compare fmj to kobe, jordan, or labron, these great basketball players have played against top competion. fmj has not faced top competion in his own weight class, old oscar made him uncomfortable at times with his jab alone, oscar sux good fighter never great, ricky hatton please no defense, chin in the air ricky hatton. We all know fmj lost to castillo, the judges gave him a gift decison. fmj should be the one to win, cuz he a bigger fighter, he just a school yard bully picking on a smaller fighter. Wow lets not forget the tough dangers threat carlos baldomir, or zab judah who lost to baldo. fmj has cherry picked most of his career, he cherry picked the wrong guy. jmm will dictate the pace with his jab and time him all night long. KO u say please, with his brittle hands come on now. fmj needs to fight guys in his own weight class, mosely, cotto, williams. Ur boy has
ducked all of them. floyd needs money mayweather.

Talk of the town on millions on the internet that floyd mayweather jr. has commited the greatest mistake of his boxing life by declining on “Manny Pacman Pacquiao” challenge. Rumors are plain & simple that he is scared and branded as a chicken nugget for hiding on his mama’s underwear. So cut the crap and save your name or better yet your family’s dignity by showing who is really the pound for pound king of the boxing ring.

  • http://yahoo chahe

mayweather going to win then cotto going to whip that ass real goya power

  • Bruce

Ja-Z-Snoop white boy hiding under Black rappers’ names, read the posts before yours. They pretty much all said JMM would stop Pretty Boy in a knockout. Why? Because y’all never stop wishing and searching for the Great White Hope. Has been that way since back in the day. Yet, what happened on Sept. 9? Weren’t even a fight! Pretty Boy laid JMM out like a cheeseburger, and now everyone of y’all’s crying foul. Now it’s rumors time: Pretty Boy’s scared, Pretty Boy’s running, Pretty Boy this, Pretty Boy that. But he’ll prove you and yo mama’s underwear wrong again. Like he did with JMM Sept. 9.
