A big Hollywood deal has recently taken place and the deal that I am referring to, is the one in which the Walt Disney empire has just bought Marvel Entertainment. This means, that your favorite Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse will now unite with favorite Marvel characters such as Spider-Man.
The deal apparently saw Walt Disney secure the Marvel superheroes, for $4 billion. Disney is now hoping to incorporate Marvel’s 5,000 characters on its television channels, in theme parks, movies and video games. Marvel has always appealed more to the male audience and Disney to the female audience.

According to guardian.co.uk, the two companies hope to complete the new deal by the end of the year, Marvel’s chief executive, Ike Perlmutter will be coming out of it as the biggest personal winner, taking $1.4 billion in cash and Disney shares in return for his 37% share in the business.
