Reports have revealed that University of Alabama defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, was taken to hospital recently after he was shot during an alleged robbery attempt in Tuscaloosa. According to Associated Press, the shooting happened on Monday night.
The incident was said to have happened at an apartment complex. The Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson revealed that Deaderick had apparently suffered a gunshot wound to the forearm. He also added that it wasn’t a life-threatening injury.

Brad Fisher, who is a DCH Hospital spokesman, said that the Alabama player was in good condition and he had been admitted to a hospital room for the night. Deaderick is said to have a major role in defense in the Crimson Tide’s upcoming season.
