LeAnn Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet to divorce

Country star LeAnn Rimes apparently posted on her website recently, to announce that she and her husband Dean Sheremet, were dissolving their marriage. But this hardly comes as shock to her fans, considering she and actor Eddie Cibrian went public with their affair recently.

According to people.com, LeAnn, who has just turned 27, was believed to have said that the decision to separate was amicable, and also claimed that both her and Dean, who she married back in 2002, will remain committed and caring friends, who have great admiration for one another.

A long time friend of Rimes, Jeff Berger said that both LeAnn and Dean are doing their best to handle the situation as mature adults. He added that they are both great people, who are unfortunately going through a tough situation, but they are doing what they have to do.
