As we mentioned in our post yesterday, San Diego Chargers’ linebacker Shawne Merriman, was arrested early on Sunday morning after reality TV star Tila Tequila, apparently accused him of battery and false imprisonment.
But according to usatoday.com, a lawyer working for Shawne Marriman, is denying the allegations. Todd Macaluso said that his client was just trying to set up a ride home for Tila Tequila, who was described as “extremely intoxicated.”
Speaking out, Macaluso said that at no time did Mr Merriman assault her or keep her against her will. The couple were at a San Diego nightclub on Saturday night, and club officials have said that there didn’t seem any problems between them.
