US Open 2009 Results: Tennis slowed by the weather

Earlier on, we reported on the restart to the quarter-final match between Rafael Nadal and Fernando Gonzalez, that was due to resume today at around 2PM EST. Unfortunately, the bad weather has continued today and we have yet to see any action.

Over at the NJ, they are providing updates from the Arthur Ashe stadium as they happen, but signs are not looking good so far.

Don’t forget that the match between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters was also due to be finished today, so the rest of the schedule for the tournament this year, could be altered to accomodate the bad weather.

If the weather conditions continue this way, we may see a Monday final once again, much like last year between Andy Murray and Roger Federer.

    this weather problem is no big deal for me, they can have more time to take a rest.
