US Open Tennis Weather Speeds Up Rafael Nadal

Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal, had to have his quarter-final match against Fernando Gonzalez delayed on Friday due to the rain. But according to guardian.co.uk, that didn’t stop him from defeating Gonzalez, when his match resumed on Saturday.

In fact, it looked like the rain delays may have sped Nadal up, who appeared to be in a hurry to reach the 2009 US Open semi-finals. Even though Nadal is suffering from an abdominal injury, he went out there yesterday, and played as if his life depended on it.
