Desperate Housewives Mrs. McCluskey, has lung cancer

The recent news of the passing of Patrick Swayze has left a bitter taste in Hollywood today, and to further add to this sadness is the news that Desperate Housewives Mrs. McCluskey, played by Kathryn Joosten has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Upon hearing of her illness, the two-time Emmy winner has said that she plans that she will do all she can to fight the illness. She told People.com “I’ve got a little hang-up here, but we’re going to handle it and move forward. I’m doing great.” Joosten was diagnosed with lung cancer less than a week ago.

What makes the news even sadder is the fact that Kathryn had thought hard and already won her battle with cancer in 2001. The actress has now had to consult with Desperate Housewives producers, as her shooting schedule could now be interrupted while she goes through her treatment.
