Kanye West talks to Jay Leno about VMA outburst

We mentioned a few days ago about the recent outburst that Kanye West made at the VMA 2009. Last night the rapper took time out to talk to chat show host, Jay Leno about the incident and to apologize to Taylor Swift. He said Swift was “a talented artist,” and that it was “someone’s emotions I stepped on — it was rude.”

It is often hard to tell if Kanye is being sincere or if this is just an act to try to gain public support. He came on the show looking very humble, not his usual self one might say. EW.com reports that when Jay Leno asked Kanye West about what his mother would have thought about his outburst at VMA, he just went quiet and seemed to have been moved by the question.

It took Kanye a while to try to answer the question; he finally managed to say, “I’m ashamed.” He then added, “I need to take some time off and evaluate the future.” EW.com has made a great point about the answer to that question; he is probably talking about his music career. A number of music stars have already been reacting to his outburst.

Watch the interview below and let us know if you think that Kanye West is truly sorry, or if it is all an act?

everyone just need to back of kanye… he knows he’s in the wrong and this interview was totally 100% real. i just feel bad for him. i understand what he did was wrong, but he’s just a human being, give him some slack…. he just reacted in the wrong way and is paying the price for it… i am no way trying to justify what he did, but man, cut him some slack.

Of course it\’s bad behavior, of course he\’s sorry, of course he gave the best material for the media to use all this to get an audience.
Let\’s go on and remind Mr. West he is a role model for many fans (I\’m not one of them) and should act accordingly in the future. May be a little bit more of musical education (I mean practice and serious musical studies) will do a lot of good to his creativity and his ego. Then, after sometime, hopefully he\’ll realize he might not be as good as he think he is.
