We have to bring you the sad news that Hollywood favorite, Patrick Swayze has died after his 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He died on Monday aged just 57, he will be remembered most for his roles in Dirty Dancing and Ghost. We all knew that Swayze was very ill, but we are still shocked by the news.
The New York Times reports that the news broke to The Associated Press by Mr. Swayze publicist, Annett Wolf. Wolf said that Swayze had died with his family by his side. The Dirty Dancing actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in January 2008, and was given just 6 months to live. He did not let his illness stop him and planned to star in a new TV show.
