Mixed martial arts fighter Martin Kampmann, started off his career back in 2006, when he decided to leave his home in Denmark and go to the United States. The move was meant to be a temporary one originally, but he ended up staying.
According to cbssports.com, his intention back then, was to just catch up with an old friend and fellow mixed martial arts fighter Mike Pyle. Whilst spending time in La Vegas, he had the chance to fight, for an MMA organization.

Shortly after, the UFC offered him a fight contract and he hasn’t looked back since. His first headlining fight of his career came in April this year, at the UFC Fight Night 18. The UFC were impressed and gave him a fight at the upcoming UFC 103.
He was originally set up to fight against Mike “Quick” Swick, but Swick had to pull out due to an injury. Kampmann said he was disappointed, but despite the change of opponent to Paul “Semtex” Daley, he is still prepared for the fight.
