Whitney Houston has given her first interview in seven years, and it comes as no surprise that it was Oprah Winfrey that had the honor in interviewing the greatest female singer that has ever lived. Well that is just my opinion. No topic was out-of-bounds. The interview is being shown over two days.
In the first of the two-day interview, Houston spoke about her marriage to Bobby Brown, which the New York Times said was often vivid and often alarming. She said that it was a crazy love; Houston also spoke about her drug abuse with marijuana laced with rock cocaine. It was this addiction that lead to what many thought was the end of her music career.
Oprah also discussed with Houston about how made her fans were with what she had done to her voice. Winfrey said that her voice was a national treasure. Houston was taken aback but this, but she did not admit to Winfrey that she has destroyed her gift.
