Dear Whoopi, I am a long time fan of yours.
I viewed today’s show and I was touched by your expression of sympathy for Patrick Swayze. Thank you for that.
I was kind of disappointed that you did not lead the others on the view to show some compassion for the stupid thing that Kanye West did. Ms. Walters always show compassion or find a way to forgive others(and you know what I mean). I am a 71 year old woman.I am by no means a fan of Kanye,Hovever, I realize that he was a jerk during the MTV awards show. However, there was no mention that he was drunk. I got the information from the Wendy Williams show this morning. Your staff could have research this also. Moreover, no one mention that he might be going through a thing since his mother’s sudden death. It appears that he never was able to heal or grieve the death. We ent right back to work, following her death. (She was his backbone to his success). When the white commnunity gets into trouble, they all rally around the individual, and SEND HIM/HER TO REHAB! We need to do this for our own.
We never get those opportunities. Now about Serena Williams, I don’t know if you’re aware of all the verbal abuses she and hier sister have gone through and continues to go through during their careers. Yes, she lost it this time. Again, much apologies was needed. and very little compassion for the person. It is as if we are not humans, When I think of Brittney Spear, Linsey LoHan ( I might have spelled those names incorrectly). and all of the other bad girls’ type celebrities. They simply go to Rehab, and all right with the world. There will nover be a level playing field. I bet no pressure will be placed on Joe Wilson. for additional apologies. It only applies to us.
I needed to vent, thanks for listening.
