Jasmine Guy is all set to join the cast of The Vampire Diaries, you will be able to see her in Mystic Falls. For those of you who do not know, Guy was best known for her role in A Different World, where she played Whitley Gilbert. Yes, she is the one with that Southern accent.
Jasmine will play Katerina Graham, the grandmother of Bonnie. She is one of Elena’s best friends. Buddy TV explains that it will be hard to see 47-year-old Guy, playing a grandmother; she just seems a little too young, let us hope that her performance is believable.
CW has said that Guy will be playing a witch; this could explain her being a young looking grandma then. CW did add that she was known for being a bit of a witch on A Different World. So not only do we have vampires, we now have witches, what other supernatural creatures’ will we see on The Vampire Diaries?
