VH1 Divas: Sold-out 2100 crowd

VH1 Divas has always been a popular show and the 2100 sold out crowd was proof of that. Last night’s show had six honorees, but I fear that VH1 are running out of new Divas. The stars on last night are all good, but they are not in the same league as say, Celine Dion or Tina Turner.

USA Today explains that the show has been away for four years now, and Paula Abdul was hosting the show. The Divas on last night were, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Miley Cyrus and Leona Lewis. What made the show even better were their singing partners, these included Sheryl Crow, Cyndi Lauper and the great Stevie Wonder.

All the shows hit the red carpet, but Abdul did not have time due to rehearsals running late. It would have been nice to see the best Diva of them all; Aretha Franklin, but she had another engagement in Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall.

    I didnt even know that on thursday had a divas concert! Would like to know the ratings for that event. It seems that the word diva means so much less nowadays, jennifer hudson is alrightan stevies guess appearance was great but the rest simply doesnt fall into the diva category! sorry guys, i’m awaiting the comeback of whitney, the ultimate diva!!!!!!!!!!
