It was only a few days ago when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Music Awards 2009; this news spread unbelievably fast across the Internet, and was even mentioned by the United States President himself.
Under a week later, Kanye West is still in the news but for a much more positive reason. Kanye now leads the BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominees, followed closely by Lil Wayne and Jay-Z.
MTV report that Jay-Z and Lil Wayne have seven each, while Kanye West leads with nine. The upcoming 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards will be filmed on October 10, and then aired on October 27.
Kanye West has picked up awards for the Made-You-Look award (for style), Hustler of the Year, MVP of the Year, CD of the Year, Producer of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Best Live Performer, People’s Champ, and Best Hip-Hop Collabo. Read the full story on MTV.com.
