Mayweather vs. Marquez: Weigh-in results

We have the full weigh-in results to show you now, for the eagerly awaited showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Juan Manuel Marquez, which takes place later tonight at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

As reported from Associated Press, Mayweather came in a surprising 4 pounds heavier than Marquez at 146, meaning that he has to pay a financial penalty, due to being 2 pounds heavier than the fight’s 144-pound catch weight limit.

Meanwhile Marquez, who came in at 142, received the biggest support from the watching crowd who were waving flags around and chanting the Mexican’s name.

It will be interesting to see how this weight advantage affects the fight later on. We still don’t know the exact sum that Mayweather has to pay Marquez yet either.
