Since Patrick Swayze’s death from pancreatic cancer on Monday, the tributes have been flooding in, from his Hollywood friends and co-stars. And it looks like it is not just celebrities, who are paying their respects and tributes to the “Dirty Dancing” star either.

It has already been reported, that the reality TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” is honoring the actor on their September 23rd live results show. And as we mentioned earlier today, the residents of North Carolina were hosting their own tribute to Patrick Swayze.

When I saw Ghost in 1990, a good friend of mine had received a terminal diagnosis. I have never been able to handle death, it has been my achillies heal in this life.

Patrick Swayze played the role so deftly, he brought to life the line from the trailer ‘you will believe’… Being able to communicate with someone who has passed away ia a compelling idea…If the movie didn’t exactly helpe me prepare for my friends death – in fact it made me think of the thing of death more, as if I could have stopped, it did help me to start bracing myself

Ironically, the last time I saw my friend was in the parking lot of the theater where I saw Ghost, just a month before my friend passed away February 21st, 1991…
    Rest in peace Patrick

Patrick Swayze was a man/actor of good character. He is loved and missed by so many. I had been following his story about the cancer every since I can remember and he had high hopes and that is special. It should teach all of us that we are no better than one another in God’s eyes. I lost my mother last year due to complications with diabetes, and I also found out I am diabetic, I know what she went through by being there during her last few weeks of life and I intend to not get that way I will conquer the diabetes that has stricken me . I will fight and Thank you Patrick for inspiring me to do so. Also he was married to the same lady since 1975 oh how special they both are they didn’t let fame bring them shame. We know where Patrick is.

The world has lost a great actor, my thoughts and best wishes go out to his wife Lisa and the rest of his family, as I myself have lost a close family member to cancer, and as time goes by the hurt gets easier and will then be left with all the wonderful memories.
