When it comes to fighting, being a lefty has its disadvantages over a right-hander; this was evident in the Josh Koscheck vs Frank Trigg UFC 103 bout. Trigg did manage to get in a few shots, but he dropped his hand for a split-second and that was all it took.

Yahoo Sports reports that Koscheck got Trigg with a looping right on Trigg’s head. Trigg then froze which was not a good move, as he took another hit in his face. That was when it was all over for him, the referee had to step in and stop the fight after just 1 minute and 25 seconds in the first round.

This was a great win for Koscheck, one that has him back on track for his title fight for the welterweight title belt, but he will need to fight Georges St. Pierre if he wants the title. Koscheck was glad of the win, and seems to have put his fight against Paulo Thiago behind him, which he lost back in February.
