We talked yesterday about how yesterdays UFC 103 fight was a return fight for Vitor Belfort, who faced Rich Franklin. It was a great return fight for Belfort and the results speak for themselves, as the return fighter registered a technical knockout over Rich Franklin.
Belfort was just 3:02 into the first round when was announced the winner of the headline bout. The crowd was certainly up for this UFC 103 bout, as there was a sold-out crowd at the American Airlines Center. Not sure if the fans were happy with such a quick fight though.
USA Today said that it was great to see the old Vitor return after a four-year break from fighting in the UFC. Franklin was not happy to see the return of Vitor though; Franklin’s knees became buckled following a huge left hand. Vitor then jump on Franklin and gave him three powerful punches to the back of his opponent’s head, it was then when the referee had to step in and stop the fight.
