Jay-Z Beats Elvis: More No. 1 albums than Presley

The Blueprint 3 is the latest album from Jay-Z and since its release has been enjoying healthy sales. The album is a huge deal for Jay-Z, as he now has more No.1 albums than Elvis. The album is at the top of the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, and has sold over 476,000 copies in its first week.

According to Celebrity Café, The Blueprint 3 is Jay-Zs 11th No.1 album, but he still has a way to go in beating the record held by The Beatles have 19 No. 1 albums, that is going to take some doing. If the rapper launches one album per year, then it will take another nine years to top the Fab Four’s record.

The Beatles have long split, with two of the band now dead, but this has not stopped them still having great success. The Beatles recently released remastered albums, and since 1991 have not sold less than one million albums per year.

    Ya. Elvis is the king for his Genre'. I will give him that. Obviously though, you grew up in a different era than the generation that has grown up listening to Hip Hop music which next to country music is the highest selling music out there, if not higher. To say no one will remember Jay Z is ridiculous, maybe you will not, but the 60 or 70 million people who have bought his music will. I dont know you, but you seem like an ignorant old woman who refuses to accept any new information.
