Carling Cup Round 3 Fixtures

Over the next two days we will see all of the Carling Cup third round matches, these matches include all of the current Premiership sides apart from Wigan who disappointingly lost in the second round against Blackpool.

The following matches will all kick off tonight at 7.45pm (GMT), these matches are between Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion, Barnsley and Burnley, Leeds United and Liverpool, Sunderland and Birmingham City, Peterborough United and Newcastle United, Carlisle United and Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City and Blackpool, Scunthorpe United and Port Vale.

There will also be a match between Bolton Wanderers and West Ham United, however this match will kick of at 8.00pm (GMT), personally I feel that there are no easy games here for any teams, especially Liverpool playing away against an in-form Leeds United.

There are two 8.00pm (GMT) games tomorrow, these are between Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers and between Manchester City and Fulham, the rest of the games will kick off at 7.45pm (GMT), these games are between Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers, Hull City and Everton, Preston North End and Tottenham Hotspur and finally Aston Villa and Cardiff City.

Given recent form I would be very surprised if Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur slip up against relatively easy opposition, I do think that there is a good chance that Fulham could be a good test for Manchester City.
