As we mentioned earlier today, President Barack Obama made a special appearance on David Letterman’s show last night, to talk about his health care agenda. And if you just happened to miss it, we have an 8 minute video below the post, for you to watch.
And according to reports from thehill.com, president Obama just appeared to laugh off the suggestions from Letterman that protests against him could stem from racism. He also reminded Letterman, that America voted him in, knowing he was an African-American.

Barack Obama also managed to get some laughs from the audience, when he said “First of all, I think it’s important to realize that I was actually black before the election.” But when talking about the new healthcare debate, the President struck a serious note.
Obama went on to say, that he thinks Americans just want to see some honesty and integrity in Washington. He also added, that he thinks the people are turned off by all the shouting and yelling, and that people expect more from their elected officials.
