‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Ellen Pompeo Has Baby Girl

The 2-hour, season 6 premiere of the popular medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy,” is due to air tomorrow night. And according to reports from buddytv.com, it looks like one of the show’s stars has had a premiere of their very own.

Actress Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey in the drama and her husband Chris Ivery, have just celebrated the birth of their first child last Tuesday, 15th September. They have named their new daughter Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery.

The birth of Stella, now means that Ellen will be taking time off from “Grey’s Anatomy,” on maternity leave. She will be joining one of the other stars from the show, Katherine Heigl, who is also taking time out for maternity leave.
