Pee Wee Herman’s Abstinence Ring Explained

Pee Wee Herman was on last night’s “The Jay Leno Show” and he looked just the same as he did when I was a lot younger. Herman played by Paul Reubens decided to show the audience a ring, Leno asked if he had just got married, he told the chat show host no, it was his abstinence ring.

The Huffington Post explains that the ring was a reference to when in 1991; the actor was arrested for indecent exposure at an adult theater. Reubens also went on to talk about his first recording song when he was a child. The song was by Hayley Mills titles “Let’s Get Together”.

Paul Reubens became famous in the 1980′s with his strange yet funny character in “The Pee-wee Herman Show” and “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” He went on to make two movies of Pee-Wee Herman. Reubens is to start a stage show in Los Angeles in November.
