Dancing with the Stars pays tribute to the late Patrick Swayze, and as our recent post reported there was a double elimination on last nights show. The show’s professional dancers exuberantly saluted Swayze’s hit movies and memorable moves, especially in the hit film Dirty Dancing.
Out of the competition went singer Macy Gray, and Ashley Hamilton, there was no surprise there, although the show kept Kelly Osbourne in the mix, maybe the age gap will not be a factor, as we mentioned in a recent post. She danced with elegance and charm, yes I am talking about Kelly Osbourne the rebellious rocker, who is the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
On next week’s show Baz Luhrmann director of Moulin Rouge will be a guest judge. For more on last nights show visit orlandosentinel.com. How will he fit in on that panel? Who do you think will win this series?

I was so disappointed in the Dancing Tribute to Patrick Swayze. The moment I knew that this was not going to be good was when they didn’t even think enough of Mr. Swayze to let his redition of “She’s Like the Wind” be played. Cheryl seemed to think the whole thing was a joke throughout her “attempt” at “Time of My Life”. If the tribute was supposed to be a joke, then I didn’t get it. Surely a dancing show would show more respect for someone that spectacular. I am truly embarrassed to say that I was a fan (yes, was) of this cold cast of dancers.
