Samantha Burke and Jude Law’s new baby girl Sophia

It doesn’t seem that long ago, that we were reporting the news of Jude Law and Samantha Burke’s pregnancy, when the actor sheepishly acknowledged the fact that he was indeed the father of Samantha’s unborn baby.

And now, according to reports from latimes.com, Samantha has just given birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, who she has named Sophia, who weighed 5 pounds and 12 ounces. Burke’s rep says both mum and baby are well.

A source has said that Jude, who met Samantha whilst filming the movie “Sherlock Holmes,” will be financially supportive, but otherwise he won’t be involved with the child. Jude has three other children with his ex-wife Sadie Frost.
