It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 5 Episode 2 recap

The series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is now into its fifth season and last night was episode 2, which was called “The Gang Hits the Road.” And as you probably guessed, it was all about the gang taking a road trip.

But according to avclub.com, it was pretty obvious from the start that the guys wouldn’t actually make it to the Grand Canyon, which is where they intended on going to. They were just about to leave, when Dee shows up.

And as you can imagine, things start to go wrong for the gang, with the first being Mac beer-bottling a cyclist. Then Charlie buys some unripe fruit from an Italian market and Dee manages to throw a jar of urine all over Mac.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is by far one of the funniest TV shows ever. Each season gets better and better as each of the characters continue to develop. It’s like the “Gang” has become this really twisted pseudo/nuclear family that to anyone on the outside appears to be nothing but a group of perversely bizarre freaks who continuously get themselves into the most random situations even when starting out on something as normal as a road trip. That being said, last night’s episode “The Gang Hits the Road,” was pure genius. I don’t want to mess it up for anyone who hasn’t seen the episode so all I will say is…I laughed so hard I was crying for the entire 30 minutes.
