Roman Polanski: Details of sex charge with 13 year old girl (Samantha Geimer)

It has been reported that respected filmmaker Roman Polanski has been arrested, following claims that he had sex with a 13 year old girl in 1977. A police warrant was still in affect by Swiss Police and came into action when Polanski tried to enter the country yesterday.

As reported from CNN, Polanski pleaded guilty back in 1977, relating to charges of a ”single count of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor”. This minor proved to be 13 year old Samantha Geimer who is now 45 and is married with three children.

Polanski, who is perhaps best known for winning an Oscar for The Pianist (2003), was arrested by Swiss authorities when on-route to the Zurich Film Festival – who were having a tribute towards him. He had since been living in France throughout his life, in an attempt to avoid US police.

    Switzerland, once the last resort of impartiality and refuge, first gives up thousands of names of private bank accounts to the U.S. Government, and now has arrested long suffering Polanski at the behest of the U.S. Have the Swiss become so afraid of the U.S. that they have sacrificed the ideals that made the country so unique and respected?

    The “victim” was interviewed about the ordeal and described how much more traumatic the legal process was than the actual sex. Interesting way to put it if you ask me. Punishing the criminal was worse for the victim than the actual crime. Where is your justice now?

    Roman Polanski raped a thirteen year old child!!! He deserves to be punished. He fed the child qualudes and champagne and then had his way with her. He should never have been aloud to plea bargain. He should been put in prison immediately and made to serve his time.

    I am shocked at the support Roman Polanski is recieving. The man raped a child. He should be happy with 30 years of freedom, awarding him time to become this so called amazing person. Being arrested 30 years ago may have destroyed his artistic timeline. He should be grateful the US postponed his guilt to a time when such a scandel wont destroy him. I’m sure all criminals would love postponing guilt to live their youth to the fullest. Really Roman take it like the forceful and tough guy you were and if its hard for ya pop a couple ludes that should make it all better…
