Michelle Obama Joins 2016 Olympics Bid

We mentioned this morning that Barack Obama was to back the 2016 Olympics Bid; we did not tell you that First Lady, Michelle Obama was also backing the campaign. The Obama’s are hoping to get the 2016 in their hometown of Chicago, who is competing with Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.

According to USA Today, Michelle Obama had told reporters a few days ago, “We’re going to make sure to talk to as many people as we can.” Mrs. Obama said that she is prepared to talk to all 100 IOC members in the hope of swinging their vote for the 2016 Olympics.

With the help of her Husband, The President of the United States, we are sure that the IOC membesr will take the Chicago bid very seriously. This is certainly a strong commitment, one that is not usually seen within a government.
