Sonia Sotomayor Opens New York Yankees Game

American Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, opened the New York Yankees baseball game Saturday, and her pitch went straight up the middle. As our recent post reported, Sotomayo had known about this honor for sometime and had been practicing.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said, “We’ll be calling you next week with a contract,’” in which Sotomayo replied “I will stick to my day job.” Justice Sonia Sotomayor was sworn in August as the first Hispanic Supreme Court justice.

The Yankees fan from the New York borough of the Bronx, wore a Yankees jersey as she took the field, Sotomayor tossed a right-handed pitch to catcher Jose Molina. Yankees went on to beat the Boston Red Sox on Saturday 3-0. According to source.
