Nell Newman: Father Paul Joked about Blue Eyes Trademark

Nell Newman, who is the daughter of the late actor Paul Newman, has sat an interview with The Associated Press recently and talked a little more about the actor’s life. And she says that he always liked to joke about his trademark blue eyes.

She said in the interview yesterday, that Paul, who died last year at the age of 83, always used to say that if his eyes ever turned brown, his career would be in jeopardy. Paul had major roles in over 50 movies, including “Cool Hand Luke.”

Nell said that despite her father’s Hollywood success, he preferred the company of race car mechanics, than the Beverley Hills jet set. She also said that her father loved to cook and loved playing practical jokes on people.
