Janet Jackson lends star power to a gala charity

It appears that singer Janet Jackson, has been lending her star power recently, to a gala charity event that took place in Milan, which according to reports from AFP, raised over a million dollars, for AIDS research.

Janet, who as mentioned in a previous post, plans to just wear black until the one-year anniversary of her brother Michael Jackson’s death, only made a brief appearance at Monday night’s dinner and dance event.

The biggest sale of the evening was a jacket, which was signed by Janet Jackson and some other celebrities. It was apparently snapped up by Diesel designer Renzo Rossof, for 36,000 Euros ($53,000).

And earlier on in the evening, a pair of handmade boots which had been decorated with around 3,000 stones, and had been specially made for Michael Jackson, but never actually worn, sold for 10,000 Euros.
