Kimbo Slice Vs Roy Nelson Video: Kimbo loses fight

We have a video replay of the whole fight between Kimbo Slice and Roy Nelson for you to watch now, which took place on episode 3 of The Ultimate Fighter Season 10.

The fight started off with both Slice and Nelson taking no chances to move in too quick. Good movement and concentration was needed as they waited for their chance to pounce.

Kimbo Slice Vs Roy Nelson Video: Kimbo loses fight

It was Roy Nelson who came out on top, and pretty convincingly too you have to say. Kimbo managed to score a few nice punches on Nelson, but Nelson managed a second round TKO to win the fight.

Slice appeared to be winded in round two, causing the referee to stop the fight. Definitely not the sort of ending we expected to see.

Disappointing fight for Kimbo. Although he showed a clear advantage standing up, he will have to learn how to defend take downs better as he continues to be pretty awful on the ground. Roy is definitely the better all around fighter and he had Kimbo pretty much helpless on the ground. I don’t think however that referees should stop fights just because a guy is getting tapped on the head. Regardless of what the rules state about defending yourself, Kimbo was never in any real danger. I would have loved to have seen the ref stand them up one more time.

I looked at the fight Kimbo Slice is a fighter he is a brawler, the other guy clearly played Kimbo into his net and Kimbo fall for,the referee did the right thing just before the round was done Kimbo”s hand not just one but both hit the canvas which is a clear indication he was defenseless based on that assertion the referee was right, say it was a game plan not a good Kimbo was pinned down and it ost him the fight….

is that the wwe that i just watched? the fight was fixed. roy nelson’s a sideshow freak just like slice. slice is still going to be liked for whatever reason, and the ufc now has another white trash fat ass hero for the “fight fans” to worship just like tank abbott. have fun with it peoples. “huh huh, he’s fat and funny, huh huh, he likes to eat just like me”.

  • Bobby

That wasn’t a fight. That was more like a big man scared for being punched. Actually Roy is not a fighter, is more like a bully, he was very scared and you can noticed that on his face when he received the first Kimbo punch on his face. What he do? what bullies know better, make a desperate move, in this case he put all his nasty and fatty belly on top of Kimbo. Come on! Seriously, I see that kind of fight as a child and I remember been fighting with a fatty loser like this one, in our second fight the floor thing wasn’t a successful move and I kick that ball of meet as hell. That’s what is going to happen to Roy on his next fight, just because now everyone know what to do with him.

hahah what???? nelson is a very good fighter if you have seen his fights before you would know that . and desperate???? your a moron if you wanna watch just stand up go watch boxing. the ground game is just as important and effective and obviously roy is the better fight it wasnt kimbos hand getting raised at the end now was it.

  • S-Dog

True. Nelson clearly has the edge in the ground game. If kimbo wants to be a stand up fighter he has to figure out how to avoid being taken down.

Are you kidding me. I have been watching this sport since the beginning. This fight was a joke. I dont want to watch some fat slob lay on top of someone and baby tap them on the top of the head to win. True Kimbo needs some ground work. and yes nelson is a “good fighter” But kimbo was not hurt and not taking any damage. Whats stopping a sumo from joining the UFC and just laying on someone till they pass out. The ground rules need to be changed… No damage means either transition or stand up! The fight was stupid and BORING.

Kimbo has made a name for himself no what.

The fight was fixed, they told Kimbo to lose, thats why he didnt move his legs nearly at all. I know what youre thinking, he has no ground game, but he has been training mma for years now, dont tell me he has learned nothing okay. They told him to lose and said that he could come back. This is “reality tv” people okay. I lost respect for Dana, I always said that this was the only real show on tv, it used to be until now. How do u guys not talk about this???

  • S-Dog

You might be right about the fix, but kimbo has been on his back before in elite xc and showed nearly the same kind of ground skills which are virtually none. No movement of the legs, and arms pinned by his opponent. Time will tell if you’re correct, and it is “reality tv”.

…streets are different from a real ring with professional fighters…sometimes you think you are great on the streets and later on realizes that you’re not yet even made yet…that’s the case sometimes…But there is always a room for improvement…

I understand that you guys think they staged the loss because it makes great TV, but seriously no mixed martial artist would in my opinion take a loss to make a good TV series, TUF 10 is the most popular series already.

The only real chance Kimbo had at winning that fight is with his stand-up, so why should Nelson risk losing the fight standing up, instead he took a leaf from Brock Lesnar’s book and used his mass to his advantage, in my opinion the fight should have been stopped at the end of round one, everyone is criticizing Nelson for winning in a boring way, but whats the advantage of him risking getting knocked out.

A lot of other people are also forgetting that Nelson has a wrestling background and also is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he has fought in MMA ofr over 5 years and has held a heavyweight belt, kimbo has won a series of street fights, and has a record of 3-1, one of these fights his opponent ought with the biggest cauliflower ear ive ever seen, teh other dived on the matt early on and the other was an old slugger by the name of Tank Abbott, he lost by knockout early on fighting a late replacement for Ken Shamrock.

Please tell me why you lot are surprised Kimbo lost!

Personally i didnt enjoy the way Nelson won, and would have loved Kimbo to have won the fight, but fighting the exciting fight isn’t always the way to win the fight.

Oh something i forgot to mention, people saying that Kimbo’s ground game is better than that, yes it is when you haven’t got someone so huge on top of you, also he almost pushed off the cage and rolled out of the mount in round 1.

The fight was fixed. Kimbo wasn’t even moving his legs when Nelson came on top of him. You dont even need to know MMA to do that it’s common sense.

  • S-Dog

All good points. I think there are elements of truth to greater and lesser degrees above. Street fighters are at a pretty big disadvantage in a cage. At any rate, next week’s show looks pretty good.
