There was a private memorial service held last Sunday, for actor Patrick Swayze, who died from pancreatic cancer on September 14th. The service, which was planned by the “Dirty Dancing” actor’s wife Lisa Niemi, was attended by hundreds of Patrick’s friends and family.
As the guests, which included Patrick’s “Ghost” co-star Whoopi Goldberg,” arrived, they were greeted by a lone white horse, which according to people.com was owned by the late actor. Patrick’s boots were facing backwards in the stirrups, which is an old horseman tradition.

The service was held on the Sony Studios lot in Culver City and incorporated lots of photos of Swayze riding his horses. There was also a video tribute to the star, speeches and a performance by professional dancers, that was intended to be in honor of his talents.
