David Beckham move to AC Milan is ‘likely’

It has been reported that David Beckham’s return to Italian side AC Milan is now likely to go ahead, after Milan have confirmed that the loan move is ‘very probable’.

The news is set to be a blow to LA Galaxy fans, but Beckham will see the move as a vital one if he is to secure his place in Fabio Capello’s squad for the World Cup next year, which takes place in South Africa.

As reported from BBC Sport, AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani had this to say on the move: “It’s very probable that Beckham will come on loan until 30 June.”

That means that Beckham will make his exit from LA Galaxy in the January EU transfer window, then return to LA Galaxy after the World Cup.
