NBC were originally going to include their new show “Parenthood,” in the fall’s schedule, but unfortunately for them, one of the show’s stars Maura Tierney, got diagnosed with breast cancer, so they had to push it back until next year.
And according to nypost.com, Maura Tierney has now been replaced on the show. Former “Gilmore Girls” star Lauren Graham, is said to be taking over instead. 42-year old Graham, will play single mom Sarah Braverman, who has two teenage kids.
The role was originally played by Tierney in the pilot episode, but she was forced to leave the series while undergoing treatment for her breast cancer. Helen Hunt was apparently in talks to replace Tierney at one stage, but a deal wasn’t finalized.
