Can you remember which shows your parents put on to babysit you when they were going about their business? Barney the cute purple dinosaur may have been around back then, but he didn’t blow up until long after I grew past the acceptable age to watch the dino’s show. But come on be honest, does that guy have longevity.
Now everyone’s best dinosaur friend, along with Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine as we mention in a recent post, will soon be hitting a few theaters near you. THR reports that Screenvision and HIT Entertainment have joined together to bring these pre-school favorites to around 100 theaters nationwide. These features will be released between now and throughout 2010.
The first of the features has apparently already been released. It’s called Barney: Jungle Friends, and opened on October 10th. The next in the series will be Thomas & Friends: Splish Splash, Splosh. So come on parents treat those kids to a day at the theatre, and be honest, you will probably enjoy it more than the kids. To read more on this story go to cinemablend.com.
