Former “X Factor” winner and singer Leona Lewis, was left hurt and upset after her recent attack at a London book signing. At the time, she had been signing copies of her autobiography “Dreams,” when a man allegedly punched her in the head.
The 29-year old man, who has been named as Peter Kowalczyk, was arrested at the time of the incident. And according to reports from people.com, he has now been charged with assault and apparently placed in an area for prisoners with mental-health issues.

Leona took to her Website on Thursday, to talk about the incident. She said it was a horrible shock, which left her extremely hurt and upset. The singer then went on to apologize, to all the fans that she didn’t get a chance to meet at the signing.
