Today is the day! Simpson fan’s, Marge fan’s, today IS the day! Yes folks, this month’s Playboy has been released. Bart’s mom who poses in the nude with her “naughty bits” discretely posed behind a strategically placed Playboy logo is marking the 20th anniversary of Fox’s ‘The Simpsons’
In a poll we had about a week ago, we asked viewers if Marge Simpson would make you buy Playboy… and the majority response was a huge ‘yes’ with 77% of the votes.
But there has been some controversy over the latest edition with some of the 7-Eleven shop keepers not terribly happy that a cartoon has made it onto an adult magazine. The supermarket chain hasn’t sold Playboy in more than 20 years, but it is carrying this issue. Some will sell it, some wont. That’s the deal.
The American Family Association have also got involved too. They have asked 7-Eleven stores to ‘reconsider’ selling the issue as they think it will attact more kids to look at Playboy. “It is not a recommended item for company stores,” 7-Eleven spokeswoman Margaret Chabris said, adding that franchise stores are independent contractors and some carry Playboy. “We thought the Simpson issue would make nice collectibles. We’re not requiring the stores take it.”
She added that the magazines are being shipped in plastic wrappers so underage customers can’t peek inside. But just seeing the cover will do damage, the AFA said. Penn Live has the full story.
So who’s side are you on? Did Marge ‘wow’ you? Or did you buy it as a ‘collectable’? I haven’t seen it yet, but i’m off down the shop’s now to buy my copy and see what all the fuss is about.

I bought the last four copies at a 7-Eleven store on W.Grantline Rd. in Tracy, CA. Before I left the store a gentleman came in and saw that I had the last four. He offered me $20.00 for one copy which I happily complied.
