The upcoming “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” is probably one of the most anticipated first person shooter games of this year. And it’s not long now until the game is released, which will be available on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
And according to reports from vg247.com, the game has now been confirmed as having an 18 rating. It apparently had a TBC 18 on display boxarts already for retailers, but the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), have just confirmed the rating.
The game, which is due for release on November 10th, has passed the certification without any cuts being made. And apparently, this is the first Call of Duty game, to be given an 18 rating. The last game “Call of Duty: World at War,” was only a 15.

This should reduce the amount of silly little 11 year olds we see online
Letting a little kid play and 18 game would be like letting a kid watch an 18 film. The parents won’t/shouldn’t do it.
Why is this game rated 18 I am 13 I bought grand theft auto 4 and my parents took it off me after a week but fair enough I understand why they took it off me but cause like grand theft auto is the most unsuitable game that you can get I am tying to get my parents to understand that other 18 games are not at all like grand theft auto most 18 games are only 18 because they have cursing and blood think about it that’s all that’s in most 18 games Which shouldn’t make a game an 18 rated game so could someone reply and
Tell my parents that it is not like grand theft auto one bit
Here u go… Iv tried Grand Theft Auto 4,2,SA, and vice city, but the GTA series is alot worse than the call of duty series and a lot of other 18+ games. I would like the GTA series to be illegale to sell to people who is going to give the the game to a child under 18 years!!!
But I mean that call of duty is to high age limit! The game should have been rated 16+, like the others instead… I even belive the game is 18+ because of the mission: No Russian. Its a terrible scene, but you are able to skip it:) So I would say that if your parrents just watch you skip it, it will be fine:)
