LeBron James: Cancer scare‎ earlier this year

LeBron James the star of Cleveland Cavaliers has announced that a cancer scare earlier this year shook him up. In January doctors found a growth in the right side of his jaw a biopsy was taken for testing.

Although the doctors didn’t think it was cancer, LeBron still had to face a nerve racking wait for results, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Nicknamed King James, he was a three time Mr. Basketball of Ohio in high school; he is the focal point off the Cleveland offense.

James said “I was working with some good professionals, they were telling me they didn’t think it was cancer, but we had to be sure, of course. I wasn’t scared, but it wasn’t something I was comfortable with.”

The growth results finally came back as benign, and he had surgery after the Cavaliers’ season was over in June to remove it. A week of bed rest after the operation was the only setback for a relieved and happy James.
