Jade Goody: Family Win Compensation Over Funeral Photos

‘The People’ have awarded Jade Goody’s family £35,000 in damages after breaching confidence and invasion of privacy over funeral photo’s taken during Jade’s funeral.

Mirror Group Newspapers and picture agency NewsPics included the pictures on the front page of the newspaper on 4th April, and then again in a special pull-out the following day.

The group’s have since apologised, to which the judge has stipulated that MGN Limited would not publish, republish, syndicate, use or disseminate any of the photographs of the private burial or any similar photographs in the future.

‘Lovable’ Jade struggled with cancer during the last months of her life, and died on 22nd of March this year.
