2010 Tour of California: Lance Armstrong to Compete

The Tour of California will be moved next year from February to May to avoid the rainy season in which Lance Armstrong will compete. This means that Armstrong will not compete in the 2010 Giro d’Italia, which will also be held in May.
Lance’s Armstrong newly formed team ‘Team RadioShack’ will compete in the race which was annouced via a Twitter exchange between three-time Tour of California champion Levi Leipheimer, George Hincapie, Dave Zabriskie, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Lance Armstrong.
The 16 host cities for the competition which will start from Nevada City, and then go on to California and Sacramento. It will pass through Davis, Santa Rosa, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Modesto, Visalia, Bakersfield, Pasadena, Big Bear Lake, Los Angeles and end in Thousand Oaks, home of title sponsor Amgen.
